The reagent kit is used for the clinical laboratory diagnosis of mycoplasma infection caused by Mycoplasma genitalium. Mycoplasma genitalium is a gram-negative microorganism that affects mainly the urogenital system, where it parasitizes by attaching to epithelial cells.

The material for the study are smears from the human urogenital tract.
