Purpose

Parasitic diseases currently remain one of the most common types of pathology and therefore represent a real medical and social problem. Children are most susceptible to parasitic diseases.

The reagent kit is designed to identify the most common protozoal invasions in humans (giardiasis, amebiasis, blastocyst invasions, cryptosporidiosis, isosporosis). These infections have common routes of infection and may have similar clinical manifestations (dysfunctions of the gastrointestinal tract, allergic reactions, asthenia, etc.), which necessitates simultaneous screening for the presence of these pathogens and differential diagnosis, especially in patients with immunodeficient conditions .

Symptomatics of sluggish parasitic diseases is not specific, which makes most patients turn to non-core specialists: allergist, gastroenterologist, etc., depending on the leading symptoms of the disease. In addition, these diseases are often asymptomatic.

The ProtoScreen kit allows you to quickly determine the presence of Lamblia Intestinalis Giardia DNA, Blastocystis hominis, Dientamoeba fragilis, Isospora belli, Cryptosporidium parvum, Entamoeba histolytica in samples isolated from fecal samples using real-time PCR.
